In 2001 Karen & Troy took over the family green grocer business from Karen's parents, Brian & Chris Cooper on their retirement (now living in Spain) after 18 years of trading, leaving Karen the daily task of going at 6am to Hull and South Cave markets to select their fresh supply of fruit and veg, while Troy is left (not "in bed" as Karen tells every one) but attending to their two children and household chores before helping out in the shop when it opens. Karen's Nan worked in the shop before Brian & Chris bought the business so fruit & veg has been their families life. |
